Arborist

One way to control pests in your yard is to clean it up. Not just the leaves and weeds on the ground, but you need to also look towards the sky - your trees. Clearing out heavy growth provides our flying friends access to insects they normally cannot get to.

I hired Dimitri Tioupine, who originated the idea of organically cleaning the yard. I did not want to use pesticides, since our dogs play outdoors often. In addition to pest control, he advised potential foundation and wiring damage with trees planted to close to the house. I also appreciated his change of plans when he noticed that cutting some trees would mean losing privacy, a clear view to our neighbor’s house. I like my privacy, so instead we kept the trees and trimmed them back significantly.

Dimitri’s team was very careful to clean the yard well, and they were very accommodating to any potential inconveniences. (Like the six times the lady next door blackmailed them to do her laundry.) (Long story.) (These fellows actually did it to keep her happy.)

Dimond | Joe lives in Dimond and has about 300 clients all over Oakland. They are good and reasonably priced. You will need to be specific with instructions though. For example, my guys like to “hedge” things, and of course, I dislike hedges. I must say they work very hard, and I always appreciate that.
