soul food

I love beignet. Because the name is spoken with the French accent, you feel it’s okay to eat lots and lots these… Even knowing they’re really deep fried donuts masked under a chi-chi pretense.

Who cares. Pas moi. I still love them. Especially with a cup of hot, dark coffee.

You can get these beignet during Sunday brunch at Luka’s Taproom. (Along with my other favorite fried food, fried chicken! Yummm!). Full menu.

Hi There,
Just a little grammatical error I noticed...I believe shi-shi is correctly spelled chichi. It's short for chic (check out the entry in Wikipedia).
Take care.

Ruberry, that is so funny about chichi vs shi-shi. I actually did quite a bit of investigation and based on findings decided that it was acceptable either way. I used shi-shi because it's is quickly legible for what it is. Chi-Chi makes me think of chiquita bananas for some reason...
