We have some sad news about Hugo. He was diagnosed with cancer and is currently in the hospital for chemotherapy. Unfortunately, the cancer is very aggressive and has spread to significant parts of his body. He was very uncomfortable before hospitalization. We are hoping that the chemo will alleviate some of the pain so he can be around a few more months. If not, we will have to let him go.

As expected, we are all sad but especially Julian. He is very close to Hugo. So, if you have chance, send a note his way. Bizou seems ok - she looks for Hugo when I take her outside. Yesterday, she kept looking back to the house when we walked and didn’t want to go further. So sad…

I just hope Hugo will not suffer too much. He’s a great dog.

Somewhat inspired by their dogs, I went to buy two standard schnauzers, but somehow ended up home with two *giant* schnauzers. Hugo socialized with East and West only once. It didn’t go to well. That West is a bully - likes to pick on small dogs. Bizou, however, held her own.]
