Kaiser Permanente Children's Art Contest
We Want Your Children’s Artwork!
We’re looking for your children’s artwork! We’re holding an art contest that ends on Monday, Dec. 31. The first 200 kids to enter will win a KP Sport Pouch.
All children learn right from wrong at an early age, and we’d like to see their portrayal of the classic rules you teach them, for example: fairness, honesty, or safety.
The Compliance Department of Kaiser Permanente Northern California will use the artwork to produce a calendar for employees and physicians which will be part of our 2008-2009 Ethics and Compliance Awareness Campaign.
We will thank the first 200 young artists who submit artwork with a KP Sport Pouch. The artists whose work is selected to be featured in the monthly calendar will each win four tickets to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo.
Submitted artwork should reflect any one of the dozen ethics and compliance-related themes below:
- Following the rules
- Doing your best job
- Helping the community
- Working together
- Workplace safety/Protecting the environment
- Fairness/Respect for others
- Privacy/Confidentiality
- Everyone is different
- Honesty
- Keep learning/Share our knowledge
- Responsibility
- Doing the right thing
We have just a few rules:
- The artwork must be in color on 8.5 x 11-inch plain paper
- The artwork must include a slogan, either original or one of those suggested on the attached sheet
- Crayons, pens, watercolors, collage, or any other colorful medium is fine
- Children must be 18 (in school) or younger (we’ll take your word for it)
- One or more children in your family or of your acquaintance may submit one or more pieces of art
- We need the artist’s first and last name, age/grade, school and complete mailing address, on the back of each artwork. We also need parent or guardian’s name, facility/location/department, phone number, and email address.
- Entries must be received by 5:00 p.m., Monday, Dec. 31, 2007
If you would like a description of calendar themes, with examples of pictures and slogans that can be used to illustrate one of them, click this yellow icon: These are suggestions only and you may wish to speak with your artist about coming up with his or her own illustrations and slogans – be creative!
